Preventive & Treatment Outreach

Bringing maternal and under-five care closer to rural communities

TMF's Preventive & Treatment Outreach program helps extend access to essential health services for pregnant women, mothers, and children under five in rural communities where distance and other barriers can make routine and timely care harder to reach.

Working alongside clinical staff from partner health facilities, outreach activities may include preventive services, screening, treatment-related support, maternal and child health services, referrals, and connections back to appropriate facility-based care.

TMF supports access, coordination, and outreach. Clinical assessment and treatment are provided by qualified health professionals from partner facilities. This work is distinct from the Foundation's community education and youth-awareness program.

Maternal care

Depending on the needs of each community and the capacity of partner clinicians, outreach may include:

  • Maternal health screening and preventive services
  • Connection to antenatal and postnatal care
  • Identification of concerns requiring further clinical assessment
  • Referral and follow-up support
  • Connection to facility-based services

Children under five

Depending on the needs of each community and the capacity of partner clinicians, outreach may include:

  • Preventive child health services
  • Growth, wellness, or other appropriate screening when provided by partner clinicians
  • Treatment-related support within partner-clinic scope
  • Referral when additional assessment or care is needed
  • Connection to appropriate health-facility services

Preventive Care in Partnership with Vitamin Angels

Through its partnership with Vitamin Angels, The Mansaray Foundation strengthens preventive health and nutrition support for women and children in the communities we serve. This partnership complements TMF's broader maternal and under-five outreach approach by helping connect families with essential preventive services delivered alongside local health partners.
