Our Impact

Numbers only matter because mothers do.

TMF reports results we can verify and is strengthening outcome tracking with partner health facilities to understand what changes for mothers, babies, and communities over time.

Measuring What Matters

From Activities to Outcomes

As TMF expands its work, we are strengthening how we measure progress and impact. Our Monitoring & Evaluation approach goes beyond counting activities and services delivered to better understand what changes for the women, babies, families, and communities we serve.

By tracking both what we do and the outcomes that follow, we can identify what is working, strengthen our programs, make informed decisions, and demonstrate the impact of our work over time.

What We Deliver

  • —Maternal nutrition support
  • —Safe Motherhood Birthing Buckets
  • —Ultrasound and diagnostic services
  • —Maternal health education
  • —Essential medical supplies and equipment
  • —Community outreach and referral support

What We Are Now Tracking

  • —Women engaged throughout pregnancy
  • —Antenatal care participation and follow-up
  • —Pregnancies supported with ultrasound services
  • —Birth preparedness planning
  • —Facility-based deliveries
  • —High-risk pregnancies identified and referred
  • —Referral completion
  • —Postnatal care and follow-up
  • —Maternal and newborn outcomes, where appropriate

We will continue to measure what we deliver, but the true measure of our progress is what changes for mothers and babies. By tracking outcomes alongside our activities, we can better understand our impact, strengthen what works, and improve the care and support we provide.

The measure of our work is what changes for mothers and babies.

We track what we deliver and the outcomes that follow, so we can strengthen what works, improve care, and build maternal health systems that continue serving families long after an individual intervention ends.
